The judges were attracted to the strong narrative – with a wolf central, referencing Sir William Russell’s love of nature and the world around us, against a backdrop of land, sea and sky. The design demonstrated flair, with many details referencing Sir William’s further interest incorporated throughout the overall composition.
“Our cadets loved the experience, they found it captivating and a true opportunity to explore news techniques and skills. It was a really interesting journey for our juniors, learning about the roundel and then having the opportunity to use their new found information along with imagination to create their very own roundel. For all involved, it was a very magical journey into the world of stained glass.
